Jefferson celebrated his birthday with his family 
ECUADOR, 08/07/2004. In a private party in the company of his family, Jefferson celebrated his thirtieths birthday upon his arrival from Los Angeles, U.S.A., where last weekend he participated in a competition which was another training session before returning to his country to celebrate his birthday.
After this event he returned to his country to continue with his planning en route to the Athens 2004 Olympic Games; from now on he will not have any competitions until August 20th.
With respect to his feelings about his birthday, he declared he felt happy and ready to plan what his life will be in the next 30 years. In addition he stated he thinks he has fulfilled almost all of his goals, wishing only to make a reality the last goal of these thirty years, which he hopes to accomplish in Athens in the month of August.
The ceremony was very private; among his family and relatives were his mother, brothers and cousins, who egged him on to "bite the cake," in a gathering he enjoyed to the most. After that it was a lunch prepared by his mother for this special date. Finally, the Pérez Quezada family offered a toast in his honor.
