Jefferson will be one of the protagonists in the Grand Prix of China 
ECUADOR, 22/04/2005. The third event of the 2005 Challenge will take place in the Far East. The streets of the Chinese city of Cixi will have the best race walkers of the world as invited guests. Thousands of persons of this small Asiatic population are preparing themselves to enjoy one of the most awaited events of the year, since the local population has some of the most outstanding athletes of the world to compete against the Europeans and Latin Americans. Without a doubt it will be a competition in which the best styles and performances will prevail.
The event will start at 2:00 pm local time (2:00 am Ecuadorian time) this Saturday the 23rd of April over a loop of 2,000 meters designed especially for this event, in which the race walkers will cover 10 laps before crossing the finish line. It is hoped that this competition will see the best time of the season, based on the prior conditions that have been seen, those are the weather, the participants and class of competitors.
Jefferson is in the best physical, medical and psychological condition. He began training last October with the aim of revalidating his world title he achieved in 2003 in Paris. This third Grand Prix, however, will be his first competition this year to evaluate his true condition in a real race.
