Great! Le Ville-France. Idrovo and Culcay obtain Silver medals in the Universitary Weightlifting World Cup 
Le Ville France, 18/07/2005. The Ecuadorian weightlifters Julio Idrovo and Marco Culcay obtained two second places on the universitary weightlifting championship, event that took place in Le Ville, France.
This time, Julio Idrovo, in the 69 kilograms category, was able to lift 135 in clean lift and obtained the second place in this event with a total of 288 kilograms. The first title on this event went to the Chinese weightlifter, who is the actual Olympic monarch. That is, the only one capable of overcoming Idrovo was the actual Olympic champion.
Meanwhile, Marco Culcay, in the 62 kg category, was able to lift 112 kg in clean lift with a silver medal and 151 kg in snatch, with also a silver medal and achieved a total of 263 kg… This was Culcay s first experience in this type of competition, in which weightlifters from 35 countries participated. Our lifters are now preparing for the next Bolivariano Games in Pereira, Colombia in August.
