Andres Chocho, the Ecuadorian race walker took his final examination as he comes up to the World Track and Field Championship in Osaka, Japan.

THAILAND, 15/08/2007. The athlete from Cuenca placed 14th in the 20 km walk event at the World University Championship which just took place in Bangkok, where the Asian athletes dominated the hotly disputed event from the beginning, taking the first places on the basis of their team effort. The winner was Yafai Chu of China with a time of 1h24min37s, followed by Child Sung Park of Korea and Koichiro Morioka of Japan in third place.

This event represented a test for Chocho prior to his most important competition, the World Track and Field Championship, and for this reason the athlete is satisfied with his performance. He will travel directly from Bangkok to Osaka. Meanwhile, another Ecuadorian athlete, Xavier Moreno, placed 18th.
